The AccuMed Group's technology infrastructure, dedicated systems and managed services provide the tools, reliability, performance and security necessary to provide you with compliant, uninterrupted, and unparalleled service.

The AccuMed Group office locations:

The AccuMed Group benefits from three locations in southeast Michigan. This allows business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities beyond single facility limitations.

Brownstown, Michigan:
This is our primary office, with more than 70 employees. The AccuMed Group completed this new facility in March of 2008. It was designed to accommodate future growth in personnel and systems.

Detroit, Michigan:
This fully-staffed office is currently operating at approximately 40% capacity, allowing for additional personnel to be re-located in the event of an outage at one of the other locations.

Ann Arbor, Michigan:
Ann Arbor is home to the Software Solutions Office of The AccuMed Group. While the primary activities taking place here are focused on technology and product development, it provides a third location in The AccuMed Group's Network that can be used to accommodate billing personnel in the event of an outage in either the Brownstown or Detroit office.

AccuMed Data Centers

The AccuMed Group's Network Infrastructure is deployed across two separate data centers and the Brownstown office. Both Data Centers are Tier Level II, providing a high degree of security, redundancy and availability.

Flint Data Center

• 22,500 sq. ft. raised floor and 8,000 sq. ft. work place recovery space in a standalone facility
• Dual pooled 1300 KVA diesel generators, 3 2000 Amp Emerson switches, 3 pooled 562.5 KVA UPS, over 300 tons cooling, 24" raised flooring
• Pass card, biometric security and remote controlled security cameras
• On Premise diverse entry OC-48 capable AT&T fiber
• Ground level entry dock and semi truck loading dock, pallet jack for large deliveries
• Former General Motors (GM) Disaster Recovery facility


Ann Arbor Data Center

A secondary location for daily disk-to-disk backups from the Flint Data Center. This is also home to a standby database supporting The AccuMed Group's Billing System. In the event of a Billing System Failure at the primary location (Flint), business operations may resume quickly using database failover technology.

• 5,000 sq. ft. of shared power plant and shared network
• 350 kw natural gas generator, expandable UPS currently at 100 Kva
• Pass card and biometric door locks for data center and offices, FM200 fire suppression
• Fiber based Gigabit internet connection to Verizon and Level (3) networks


Network Communications

Communications between the office locations and data centers are supported by a private MPLS network, provided by Paetec. In addition, internet access to The AccuMed Group's Billing System can be provided on an as-needed basis.
