Michelle Leonard-Edelbrock, President
Michelle is the owner and President of The AccuMed Group. She has more than 23 years experience in the medical billing and collection management field. Michelle continually re-invests in The AccuMed Group a to ensure that clients always have access to the best of the best billing, consultation and electronic data capture solutions. Michelle is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University.
Ned Suddendorf, Vice President
Ned oversees all operations and client service initiatives. He has been directly involved in the health care billing and collection industry for over 25 years. Prior to joining The AccuMed Group, Ned was Director of Credit and Collections for Professional Data Care (Part B Radiology billing for St. Joseph Mercy Hospital) and Director of Operations for Credit Bureau, Inc. where he oversaw and managed four 3rd party debt collection agencies and annual receivables in excess of 100 million. In 2006, Ned founded The AccuMed Group’s Data Capture Division to assist clients upgrade from manual to electronic field data capture. Ned is a graduate of Cleary University, and Mid-Western Management Institute.
Karen Coleman, Director of Operations
Karen has extensive experience and knowledge in the areas of business operations, leadership, and process improvement. Her skills excel in the areas delivering customer service excellence and compliant results to the EMS industry. Prior to The AccuMed Group, Karen spent 24 years in the health care field working with industry leaders such as Henry Ford Hospital, the University of Michigan and Health Alliance Plan, giving Karen the experience of working both the billing and payor side of the business. Karen is a graduate of the University of Phoenix with a MBA in Technology Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Marketing.
John Masters, Chief Information Officer
John is responsible for supporting the technology initiatives for mission-critical systems, business applications, research and development, and administrative functions of The AccuMed Group. He also manages our technology team, and is responsible for establishing and managing relationships with technical consultants and other vendors supporting technical initiatives. Prior to joining The AccuMed Group, John served as Vice President of Software Development and co-owner of Integral Software Systems. John holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Business Administration from Northern Illinois University.
Teri Johnson, Director of Client Services/Corporate Compliance Officer
As Corporate Compliance Officer, Teri administers The AccuMed Group’s Corporate Compliance Program and ensures strict compliance with all regulatory entities. She has earned all billing and coding certifications applicable to the EMS industry through CMS. Teri has an in-depth working knowledge of all aspects of the billing process, and has been with The AccuMed Group since 1991. She has an Associate’s Degree is Arts.
Kathy Harvell, Client Services Advocate
Kathy has over ten years experience in the health care industry and keeps abreast of industry changes through continuing education. Prior to AccuMed, Kathy worked in a multi-specialty practice coordinating patient care, both clinical and clerical. She is a graduate of Baker College with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration and is currently pursuing her MBA in marketing. Kathy also received an Associate’s degree specializing in medical billing and coding.
Lisa Osorio, National Accounts Supervisor
Lisa manages a team of national billing experts to ensure conformity to the unique and complex local and state billing requirements. The dedication of specialized resources has earned The AccuMed Group national recognition. Lisa is a graduate of Davenport University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration. she joined The AccuMed Group in 1998.
Anne Sheets, Statusing/Rejections Supervisor
Anne has forged invaluable relationships with key insurance carriers and facilities, which translates to increased revenue for clients of The AccuMed Group. She possesses an in-depth understanding of managing every aspect of claim follow-up including rejections and appeal processes. Anne also oversees the fire service billing program and has helped pave the way for many Fire Departments to recover costs associated with fire operations. She is a graduate of Dorsey Business School’s medical billing program and has been employed with The AccuMed Group since 2002.
Barbara Hill, Coding Supervisor
Barbara is responsible for initial employee training, on-going employee development and coding quality control. The AccuMed Group’s coders devote 100% of their time to coding, with meticulous attention to detail. The coding team, under the direction of Barbara is exceptional. She and the entire coding team have earned all CMS billing and coding accreditations.
Lisa Walsh, Patient Accounts & Collections Supervisor
Lisa manages the Customer Service Department, which includes phone monitoring, to ensure customer service excellence. Lisa is also responsible for all client pre-collection reporting and the transferring of files to various collection agencies.
Lisa has worked in the medical billing field since 1984 and has management experience in a multi provider setting. Lisa has been with The AccuMed Group since 1999.
Dawn Kiser, Client Services Advocate
Dawn specializes in Software Solutions Client Services, Implementation and Training. She trains EMS Administration and Medics on their role using our proprietary software, eMedicReports, to record incident information in the field, through final billing approval. Dawn brings to The AccuMed Group over 15 years experience with Client Services in various fields, including the health care field. Prior to joining The AccuMed Group, Dawn managed a small Chiropractic Office, overseeing billing, claims, marketing and patient services. Collegiate experience includes Grand Valley State University, Cleary College of Business and Boise State University.
